Though we bought the Boy a bike a couple of months back, he hasn't expressed too much interest in learning how to ride it for a while ... or so we thought. Apparently, he's been sneaking downstairs in the middle of the night and riding around the house while we're all sleeping because a couple days ago we took him out for a little try and he just started riding around.

In other developmental news, during our normal block meeting rounds through the catacombs of the local stake center, Matt discovered the joys of the light switch. The first couple of times he thought it was just a coincidence that it went dark while he was playing with the random piece of plastic on the wall. But at the moment when it finally dawned on him that he was causing the change, he let out the most beautiful little giggle I have ever heard. Now there's a little compensation for the havoc that they wreak upon our home.

That is amazing! Way to go Jon!! Josh hasn't even been on a bike yet. We bought him one of those big wheels and he loves that. But we have yet to give him a bike. We are hoping Christmas. He is doing a fabulous job. I love the giggle/light switch story. How sweet.

No, I don't think he was sneaking out. I think it really just came naturally to him whenever he decided to try it. Maybe it's the fighter pilot genes from his great grandpa?
