It's been a little hot here. OK, what I really mean is that it's been completely unbearable lately, particularly for Little Ms. Week 37. See people out in the Rocky Mountains (where we used to live) are thankful for rain because they need to fill their desert reservoirs. I mean it's not Western Australia, but people do occasionally have to deal water rations or at least the fear of them.

Out here in swamp land though, we pray for rain for totally different reasons - we need salvation from the water already hanging in the air. And after a few days when even looking out the window made your body want to start sweating, we finally got a little deliverance. Please let there be more to come!

In other news, we had another family breakthrough. As of Wednesday (and until Boy 2.0 shows up a few weeks from now), we can now go to the movies as a family. Yes, we took the boy to one of the local theaters for one of their free kids movies and he actually sat in one place long enough to watch the film (Flushed Away - not exactly the most cerebral film we've ever seen, but fun enough) in its entirety. Not a single peep or squirm for nearly two hours ... that's a little deliverance too.
